One of the options that has been taken out of Exchange 2010 is the Document Access in Outlook Web App (OWA). Though it isn’t heavily used by most of the medium to large companies, it is useful for smaller companies to access files when the staff are out of the office.
Let me explain with screenshots. Below is OWA 2007 and the last link (Documents) is what we are taking about here. This is used to access files on the internal file servers from outside the network, ofcourse depending upon the access configured by the administrator.
But, what about Outlook Web App (OWA) in 2010 RC? There is no Document Access in the new web access interface. Take a look at the screenshot.
Microsoft has discontinued this feature, with a view to to use SharePoint.

Thanks. But OWA Virtual directory still have forms for managing remote servers. with allow and block list for servers. I guess they will remove them in RTM.

Try FileWay from Everywhere Networks http://www.fileway.com. It gives you file access for OWA 2003, 2007 and 2010.

Looks like they didn't get around to remove it. Or maybe for backward compatibility when in "co-existence".
